BI

Was better than the 3.1 scouse atmosphere and that was decent good. No £5 praying matts this season either son! We were fairly muted up at Turf Moor, just shows how unique we can be on our day like today. We Certainly played a part.

Oh, and COLLINS made a mug of me today, I really didn't think he could handle their front line but he was absolutely superb today. Fair play to the ginger rocket.

We were great today, fucking mustard.

What I love about these new boys is that they just don't stop. They chase down everything and work fucking hard.

Sakho and Valencia are immense up front and Song and Kouyate will be one of the best midfield pairings in the league.

I fucking love being West Ham at the moment. Fucking love it.

According to BBC THE we only had 30% possession...12 attempts to their 21...4 on target vs their 5...

Anyone got another source ...30% possession don't sound right...???

to even suggest that our first goal was offside is a disgrace to football journalism....not even close to being doubtful......clean as could be

Michael Owen's one fucking hell of a dull cunt...

You could stick a couple of grammes up his hooter and force ten pints of Stella down his gob and he'd still be an absolute fucking bore...

Sure it's already been said but.. What the fuck was Michael Owen on today?

When our second went in, he kept going on about what a fantastic attempt at a save it was by Hart.
Erm.. It went in.
Div.

Re: West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread 2-1 FT
First 20mins I thought we were really poor, couldn't keep the ball, couldn't string a pass together. In fact I seem to remember a stat around the 15 min mark that said we had only completed about 10 passes.

That said, with their do inaction they hadnt actually create much and all of a sudden we scored.

From the goal we looked a completely different team, tempo was excellent, determination and desire was great to see but the thing that changed the most is that we relaxed. Finally we have a few players that don't mind having the ball - that for me is one of the biggest differences from recent seasons.

If they had have scored again the obvious complaint was us sitting back after the second goal - but even this is a massive improvement as in previous seasons we were sitting back after one or even at 0-0. So although I think we were nearly architects of our own downfall - we hung on and all credit to the players for it. A brilliant day!

Re: West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread 2-1 FT
I don't know how the hell it's happened but we've suddenly got a team full of players with pace, power and the willingness to run themselves into the ground for 90 minutes.

On top of that we suddenly have a manager who has discovered that he actually enjoys watching decent football and long may it continue.

What a feeling it is to be able to compete and beat the top teams and have a first eleven and a bench that are strong in all areas.

Everyone today was outstanding.

Get in there!
